This notice identifies the owner of Antarctic Life and sets out the general conditions of the website www.antarcticlife.app, the Web App (app.antarcticlife.app) and the Android and iOS apps. It complements the Terms and conditions, the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.

02A non-profit project
Antarctic Life is a non-profit educational and cultural initiative. Its aim is to bring Antarctica closer to the people who visit it, help them discover its wildlife, landscapes and history, and capture the experience of their journey, because getting to know Antarctica is also a way of valuing and protecting it.
- The app, the Web App and this website are free of charge.
- There is no advertising, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data, nor use it for commercial purposes.
03What it is and what it is not
Antarctic Life is a digital expedition companion and personal logbook: it lets you record wildlife, landscapes, glaciers, icebergs, historic places and the moments of your journey, explore educational content and keep the memories in a PDF Logbook.
It is not a navigation or safety tool or an official guide, and it does not replace the instructions of your operator, guides, crew or the authorities.
04Intellectual property and copyright
We respect copyright and intellectual property. All third-party content is used under an open licence, is in the public domain or is used with the express permission of its author or rights holder, and is credited to its source. In particular:

The Antarctic Life name and logo, the design, our own texts (species pages, atlas stories, website) and the app software belong to their owners. You may share links and quote short extracts citing the source; for any other use, especially commercial use, please ask us for written permission.
05If content affects your rights
If you believe any content on Antarctic Life infringes your copyright, image rights or other rights, write to hola@antarcticlife.app stating:
- which content it is and where it appears (screen, page or link);
- which right you hold and how we can verify it;
- your contact details.
We will review it promptly and, where appropriate, remove it or correct the credit as soon as possible.
06User content
The photos, texts and voice notes each person records are their own and private. Whoever uploads them declares that they hold the necessary rights and undertakes to respect other people's image and privacy (see the Terms and conditions).
07Links to other websites
The website and the app include links to external sources (for example, the sources of each story). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
08Liability
The content is educational and based on scientific and historical sources, but it may contain errors or omissions. We review and update it continuously; if you find a mistake, please let us know. We cannot guarantee that the service will be available at all times, especially in areas without connectivity.
09Personal data
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy policy, and what is stored on your device in the Cookie policy.
10Governing law and jurisdiction
The laws of the Argentine Republic apply. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent ordinary courts of the district of Escobar, Province of Buenos Aires, without prejudice to the rights the law grants to consumers.
